I don’t think majority of us have heard of Summify, but this particular Vancouver-based start-up has just been snapped up by the all-mighty Twitter. So what’s the significance in Summify that Twitter was keen in pouring cold hard cash into the web-based startup? It seems that Summify is a tiny news-curation platform, in which the platform has the ability to deliver news and articles based on your reading habits and preference.
Apparently, Summify has shut their doors in Vancouver, as they will be relocating to San Fransisco. I’m guessing that Twitter might be integrating Summify into their services, as clearly, news and social media definitely makes a good combination. Perhaps we’ll be seeing a lot more news coming out from Twitter, instead of reading other people’s grouses instead?
