Literally, Bitcoin is a payment method that is currently not widely regulated, in which a vast array of businesses, which includes questionable business activities, would utilize Bitcoin as their payment processor. Of course, judging by the fact that Bitcoin might not be a good payment processor, the Thai government has taken a stand in banning Bitcoin in their country.

And with the ban in place, the Thai government is the world’s first to ban Bitcoin. Following a conference at the Bank of Thailand, apparently the officials from the Foreign Exchange Administration and Policy Department made a unanimous vote to ban Bitcoin, which literally rendered the current Bitcoin stockpile in Thailand rather useless. However, the Bank of Thailand will continuously review their ruling in the future.
