If you are thinking how Sprint fared for Q2 2012, you should know that the company isn’t doing too well, since their iPhone plans didn’t go according to plan. Apparently, Sprint sold 1.5 million Apple-branded handsets to consumers, in which 40 percent went to new postpaid customers, the company nevertheless recorded an operating loss of $629 million, and a gigantic net loss of $1.4 billion for Q2 2012.
When you compare the figures to Q1 results, things aren’t looking too good either, as Sprint recorded $255 million operating loss, and a net loss or $863 million for Q1 2012. Surely, I’m guessing that Sprint shouldn’t put too much hope on Apple products, as clearly, the tide is shifting to a new platform, namely the Android – perhaps Sprint should pay more attention here, as clearly, the Android is gaining tremendous limelight, particularly when Samsung has declared their smartphones to be the leading smartphone in the current market.
