The moon is the nearest space object to earth, and it has always been human’s aspiration to explore the moon. Well, both the Americans and the Russians has landed humans on the moon, and it looks like China would like to be part of the moon-club, as apparently, they have set their ultimate goal to get their taikonauts on the moon in the near future.
Although it might still be years ahead for that to happen, China has recently successfully landed a moon rover, dubbed as the Jade Rabbit, on the moon. It was reported that the Jade Rabbit is now live on the moon, and would spend months studying the lunar surface. Generally, the data collected would be invaluable to both China and other space agencies, and this should also give the Chinese astronauts a glimpse on what to expect when they land on the moon.
