Surely, AMD has always been in a rather gruesome fight with Intel over the microprocessor dominance, whereby both the microprocessor giants did fairly well for the past decade. Nevertheless, Intel’s dominance over the sluggish Atom-based processors are numbered, as AMD is slowly creeping into the respective niche market, simply by throwing in their revolutionary chips that run on the Bobcat APU.

Basically, AMD's 1.6GHz Zacate chip operates on the Bobcat modules, and tons of benchmarks have already been circulating in the blogosphere, as consumers are pretty curious on the chip’s performances. Basically, the Zacate chip is aimed to compete with Intel’s dual-core Atom D510, and the performances are somewhat similar. However, AMD did something rather different with this chip, whereby they have integrated the graphics processing within the CPU through its new Fusion APUs. Also, the Zacate did fairly well in its class, and it might also boasts unprecedented power efficiency too.
