Blog advertising is gaining popularity among the blogging community. Advertisers are willing to fork out some cash to advertise in blogs. You can try out sites such as Blogitive, PayPerPost and Blogvertise to get some extra income by blogging an article requested by the advertiser. However, the pay rate is not significant. You might get around $5 to $10 per post. Here’s some review on some of these blog advertising sites. ![]() Blogitive was the first site that I came to know about blog advertising. You will need to register your site in order for them to determine whether it is eligible for their blog advertising program. Some of the criteria that you will need to meet are your blog needs to have an acceptable level of traffic, indexed in Google or Yahoo! and must be at least 3 months old. Best of all, they bank in your payment weekly into your PayPal account. My review: I applied for Blogitive on my first week of setting my website. A quick check by them revealed that my site was not eligible for their program. So too bad for me! Here’s what Blogitive’s representative emailed me, “Sorry your Blog doesn't qualify for Blogitive. You need to increase your Blog's popularity and I would start by submitting your website into FeedBurner.com. You can also visit here to learn more ways of increasing the popularity of your Blog, http://www.blogitive.com/2006/10/30/make-your-blog-more-popular/” I’ve already resubmitted another application to Blogitive exactly one month later. I’ve setup FeedBurner in my blog. We’ll see what their response is. ![]() PayPerPost is quite similar to Blogitive. However according to some sources when you write an article for a client, it must either be a neutral or a positive comment. Payment can range from $5 to $10 as well. My review: Once again I sent my application to another blog advertising site and here’s their response, “This is a notification to let you know that your blog, DotMySpot.com, has been rejected for the following reason(s): ------------------------------ Thank you for your blog submission! I was unable to find a link to your archives. Please make sure that it is in plain site and that your archives list chronologically, not categorically. Also, the archives cannot be just 'previous pages.' For example, it should be set up to where I could find a post on Sept. 30th very quickly. Please re-submit when this requirement has been met. Thank you! ------------------------------ Please log into PayPerPost.com (https://payperpost.com/login) to correct this issue and resubmit the blog, or to delete the blog. Thank you, The PayPerPost Team http://payperpost.com http://blog.payperpost.com” My response: In plain site? What the.. what does it mean? And archives can’t be next? I have a button dedicated for it. This proves that the moderator is sleeping and not attentive or simply he just hates me and in the worst case scenario, PayPerPost is going bankrupt. And finally I’ve registered for Blogvertise. Blogvertise approved my application in less than 6 hours. I was amazed and felt impressed to receive 2 tasks instantly! Each was worth $5 a piece. I just had to blog about their client's online solutions which entirely fit into the content of this blog. I've already created my entry and waiting for my payment. We'll see how Blogvertise performs! So stay tune! Comments (9)

Blogvertise ROCKS! I've got 2 task already. Approval was instant and $10 is easy to earn. written by Sam, January 21, 2007
I've had problems with getting my blog listed in some of these sites before. It seems that you really need to either have massive traffic or a very high Google Search ranking. However, I do agree with what you say about Blogvertise, it is much much better than payperpost or Blogitive! You could also try promoting affliate products lots as that works quite well sometimes.
Good luck with the other sites! Sam http://teenmoneytips.blogspot.com written by Admin, January 22, 2007

.. yeah blogvertise is good.. but i got 2 offers only @@".. that's all.. and they didn't even send me email saying that my post is approved or something.. hmm.. wonders will they pay me the following month.. thanks for your comments.. :x written by Rohen, May 26, 2007
I've been with Blogvertise for about a month. They are 5 days overdue on two PAYOUTS, and each are for $2 Dollars. ONLY $2 dollars and they haven't paid! I EMAILED them about it but still no response. Anyone has any ideas as to what I could do? Also, they still owe me future payments, is this how its going to be with them??? This really blows. Blogvertise was really great until this happened...

Hi there.. So far i don't have any problems with them paying.. they have been paying me monthly everything that they owe me.. it's just that they have been pretty slow in distributing job assignments for the month of May. I've only got one assignment from them compared to the other months... Well I don't think they will reply you as i think their team is pretty small.. a wonderful girl is distributing my job assignment.. i'm not going to hurry her.. but then i think it's a one man/woman job/working there only..
hope this helps written by marie, July 09, 2007
I joined Blogvertise and they sent me a few assignments. I did them and received full payment.
