 A prom which is a formal dance for high-school or college students, usually held at the end of the school year. I’ve seen movies where teenagers have a prom night where everybody dresses up in their best prom dress. We don’t have those in Asia – we only have Canteen Day or BBQ sessions and nothing more. Of late there are some schools organizing prom nights but we don’t have those flashy night dresses and things like that.For some, prom nights are one of the most important nights in their life. It’s the end of high school and the road to become an adult – or maybe half adult. Some westerners have the culture of ‘asking’ their kids when are they leaving home. Though it’s not entirely true, but it does happen. Compared to Asians, westerners are more independent. We just entered into 2007 not long ago. It’s time to checkout for some 2007 prom dresses. Get yourself ready for the big event at the end of this year! Generally, I prefer ‘gothic’ style prom dress. It’s actually based on 19th century artistic style - Very elegant if you were to ask me.
