When I opt for a loan from any financial institutions, usually they will look at my credit rating to justify whether I am eligible to take up a loan. Banks and other lenders have resorted to this measure to help them determine whether that person has the capability of repaying the money that they want to lend.Usually I don’t have any problems in taking up loans as I have an excellent credit rating. Furthermore, I have members of the family to help me out when it comes to loans. However, I do take measures in my own hand when ensuring a good credit score. I do this by requesting a free credit report being offered by CreditNexus.com. It’s really easy to request for your own copy of credit report. Just visit their website and click on the ‘Free Credit Report’ link and fill in your particulars. They will retrieve your credit information from three major credit reporting agencies - Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. One thing that I found interesting about having your own credit report is that you can also help deter identity theft from occurring. Can you imagine that there are over 2,000 cases of identity theft happening every day? The figures are staggering – not to mention the amount of damages that they have caused. It’s a serious crime and yet it’s really hard to trace who the culprit is. You can lessen your chances of being a victim of identity theft by having regular credit reports. Also I find the site rather interesting as I get all sorts of credit information such as credit reports, credit score, credit repair, credit bureaus, credit rights, credit tips, identity thefts, credit cards, frauds and many more. For your own free copy of credit report, do visit the links that I have embedded above. Comments (0)
