Every site needs traffic – it’s the key point of survival as well as it’s where the advertiser’s advertising dollars comes in. There are many ways to get free traffic to your site. One way is free traffic from search engines – but it will take a few weeks for the search engine to properly list you in their directory. Another way is by participating in webmaster forums.

Forums are a great way for you to gain exposure, exchange ideas on web development as well as to build relationship with other web developers who are new to the industry. But most importantly, when you want to participate on a forum, make sure that it is alive and kicking so that you will gain maximum benefit out of it.

I found out one forum which is particularly interesting - PublisherForums.com. Their site is a PR5 forum and there are interesting articles which touches on web monetization, web development, web management, business and many more. On the other hand, they are having a contest which runs from 22nd October to 3rd of December 2007. What I like the most is their prizes. You can stand to win 45 prizes inside 12 prize packages. It’s really easy participating in the contest – just make sure you have the best discussion in their forum and that would make you one of the eligible winners of the prizes. Don’t know about you, but being a web developer their WordPress theme and 3 months of WordZe subscription really attracts me.
