 I have been handling video conferencing equipment while I was working for a huge oil and gas company in the past. To tell you the truth, video conferencing is cost saving and saves time as well. Spanning over 80 countries, the company needs a speedy way to hold meetings worldwide. The solutions – either a telephone conference, which is kind of boring and non-interactive, or through video conference. The basic equipments to conduct a video conference is of course the video conference unit, a television or a display unit and an Internet connection (usually 2 to 4 or more ISDN lines connected to the unit). For telephone conference, Polycom or rather I call it the ‘spider phone’ because it looks like one, are used and is renowned for its quality. A couple of things to take note when you conduct a video conference session: 2. Test for audio quality as it is set on mute accidentally. 3. For video conference to more than 4 site simultaneously, subscribe for paid services where you can rent their video conference equipments that have the capacity to hold such meeting. 4.
